Expertise & Experience
As a Pain Clinic Consultant with more than 30 years of experience, I began my career at Belfast City Hospital before establishing a private practice at the Ulster Independent Clinic.
I have held key leadership positions, including serving on the board of the Pain Faculty of the Irish College of Anaesthetists as a college examiner. I have also acted as a regional adviser in Pain Medicine for Northern Ireland, working with the Royal College of Anaesthetists’ Pain Faculty to oversee the training of local pain specialists.
In addition to maintaining a busy practice, I am an active member of the Pain Specialist online group, a community of over 500 members. I have also been a member of the Ulster Medico-Legal Society since its inception.
I am a trained expert witness in medico-legal pain reporting. My comprehensive experience includes preparing reports for both claimants and the defence and offering opinions in medical negligence cases involving persistent pain. I have direct experience providing testimony in court and giving evidence under examination.

Drawing on extensive experience, I am prepared to provide expert evidence in court and am accustomed to the examination process.
